On a Pelorus Sounds History Cruise you'll get full commentary by a third generation skipper with over 50 years experience as a traveller throughout the sounds waterways, with knowledge of the local sounds history. Gary Orchard will be telling you early Maori and European stories and give you an insight to the Greenlip Mussel industry. With some cruises we join in a research trip, monitoring young Marlborough Sounds Greenlip Mussels. There is also a chance to view birdlife and marine dolphins, with our mammal watching permit. A optional bush walk and a light lunch with fresh mussels are included.

The tour departs from Havelock and last for 5-7 hours.
