If you'd rather stay on solid ground, some of New Zealands most famous walking tracks starts within 30 minutes from Havelock. If you have a couple of days to spare, spend them on the world famous Nydia Track surrounded by absolutely stunning views. If one day of hiking is enough for you, then merge into nature with boots or bike on the Queen Charlotte's Track.
